Settlers Series - Mixed Media Art Workshop with Annie Rawle

Spend a day mixing it up with paint, collage and various other media. Leave with a mind full of ideas of how to create work that you love

The joy of working in mixed media is all the unexpected effects you discover while experimenting with a variety of media and mark making.

Learn how to build up layers of colour and texture to create complex and interesting surfaces. Using paint, oil pastel, pencil, textiles & paper to collage, draw, scrape, stamp and stencil, you will let each layer guide you to the next and you’ll discover how to make those “what should I do next” decisions. Annie usually works in mixed media for abstract work, but the techniques can be utilised to paint any subject in new and exciting ways. You'll be shown tips & tricks and be advised & guided, but overall it will be a day of play & discovery and you'll leave with a mind brimming with ideas.

You can create totally free-form from your imagination or bring some favourite images to use for reference if you prefer.

Cost includes all art materials including a canvas for your completed masterpiece.

Morning tea, plus a refreshing glass of bubbles with nibbles to enjoy while we review our days work at the end of the afternoon. BYO lunch.
